One Month Old Today

Mason turned 1 month old today and boy has he changed in the past few weeks! Today he weighed in at 4lbs. 13 oz. and is currently chugging 2 full ounces per feeding. Last week we began getting subtle hints from the nurses that Mason might be leaving as of yesterday (Saturday), but he managed to drop his heart rate a bit too low to all of our liking so we considered it best to wait it out a few more days. Well he's gone 3 full days, knock on wood, without any episodes and completed his hearing test and car seat tests today with flying colors. They said he can hear, but we'll have to wait and see if he'll listen when the time comes. He also had his feeding tube removed late last week since he wasn't using it anymore. If all goes as planned we hope to have him home before the end of the week, if not sooner, but again we'll keep our fingers crossed. Nana and Grandpa Schnarr visited today and were granted permission on the super secret let's keep it on the down low with the curtains closed kind of secret to hold Mason. Needless to say he already appears to have them wrapped around his fingers. That's it for now, but hopefully we'll have the exciting news to share with you very soon.
