Back Home Again

Well, Carrie and I have returned home for awhile. Late this afternoon Carrie received the last of her shots, we packed up our things and tearfully said goodbye to our son before heading home. Carrie has been an absolute trooper through everything and it's easy to see Mason has his mom's stamina and a bit of his dad's bull-headed determination to prove everyone wrong. As of late last night Carrie began to see the fruits of this whole pumping thing, in fact she was so excited at one point that she couldn't wait and personally delivered about 6cc's of liquid gold to the NICU. She's already an amazing mother. (and I think the dad's not too bad himself...it's apparent that we've had many role models to help us out now that it's our turn.) Mason is doing great. Yesterday he received his limited edition sunglasses to help him out while the lights do their work to help him. The boy is eating well and "voiding" quite well too. (Apparently we use the word void because poop is to awkward, I mean seriously!) As the weeks creep by we will be making our visits to be with Mason and work with him as he prepares himself to come home too. We'll do our best to keep you in the loop.
